Mon, March 6, 2006 - 6:56 AMThat's way too bad. I'm four years older than him and this makes me very nervous. I hope he gets better and recovers fully. -

Re: kirby puckett suffers stroke
Mon, March 6, 2006 - 7:41 AM44 years old and suffering from a stroke? If the cause of this isnt linked to a diseas like diabetes, high cholesteral or hyper tension that are known to cause strokes and it turns out that its something like an embolism or microangeplasty which is linked to anabolic steroids and strokes. I have to wonder what this will do to the steroids debate.
I wish the best of luck and smooth recovery for mr puckett regardless of the cause of this stroke. I just find myself wondering how long it will take before this comes up -

Re: kirby puckett suffers stroke
Tue, March 7, 2006 - 7:22 AMi saw dave winfield last night on ESPN Sportscenter talking about kirby as a man, player and how he handled the tough times. it was pretty great. then they end it with, "Dave we know how hard this is for you, as you were set to play golf with Kirby today". tears just started flowing. R.I.P. Kirby. you will be missed.
