you cant ever bring up 2004 again after the two years following your team has collapsed down the stretch-and after your performence last week-disgraceful. HOW many walks did your pitchers issue? and since game seven in '04 ALCS your team has done NOTHING but choke in the clutch against NY or in the playoffs (where dat broom at?? OH-its still in Chicago)
have fun watching the playoffs from home this october.

Foulke was pitching BP out there... 5 XBHs in 2 innings including 3 HRs.
If you didn't think they were done after getting swept by the Yankees and the MARINERS, getting shut out by Loaiza is pretty much the nail in the coffin. -

Give credit where credit is due-i am proud of the resiliancey of this team, and as far as i can see, unless we see the angels in the play offs, I can't see anybody beating this team down the stretch.

I just found this old thread. Let's not bring up '04 any more. Let's talk about the '07 WS instead. Or maybe the '08 ASG MVP!
As for '06, yes the Sox did slide downhill, but there is a direct correlation between the day 'Tek got injured and the day the slide started. He was the glue that kept that team together. The rest of MLB players know that as well, which is why he made it to the ASG this tear. -
